August Mission Focus Bethany Children's Home
145th Anniversary Day & Community Festival
August 15, 2008
11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
A 50-minute ride brings you to Bethany's beautiful mountain-side Womelsdorf campus. Food, arts and crafts, flowers, quilt raffle, carriage rides, fireworks, "Keystone Band" and "The Famous Greaseband" are all features of this event.
Drop by and enjoy a wonderful day on a beautiful campus. Since 1863, Bethany has provided homelike care to children of all ages and backgrounds in partnership with the church.
Bethany is located just south of the borough of Womelsdorf in Berks County. Take 422 W. Turn south from Main Street at the community park. (info. www.bethanyhome.org)
Outreach Sunday
last Sunday each month. Donations of canned goods (Central PA Food Bank) & women's hygiene items (YWCA Shelter) welcome.
Recycling for Mission

We're saving aluminum cans to build houses that become homes in Harrisburg! 2008 = 10 large bags
Also saving used cell phones & printer ink cartridges for Bethany Children's Home
Local Ministry
Welcome Bread for new friends Discretionary Ministry offers direct assistance for persons in need. Baskets of Thanks: community food help at Thanksgiving. (reaching to 11 families in 2007) Christmas Joy Gift Tree: gifts for community children. (52 gifts in 2007)
