placement of the windows

When the present church was built, the windows were very high above the pews, so high that even when they stood to pray a person could not look out.  This was ordered to be so by Rev. Martz, the Lutheran minister at that time. [We were a union church - German Reformed and Lutheran.]  He said that if they would be low the members minds and hearts would be drawn away from services.
